In pneumatic cleaning the source of energy for shot blasting is the kinetic energy generated by compressed air. Pneumatic cleaning consists in projecting the mixture of compressed air and abrasive media onto the surfaces to be cleaned. The main advantage of pneumatic shot blasting is the possibility to change the direction of blasting. Owing to directed blasting of abrasive media, pneumatic shot blasting machines are suitable to clean areas which are difficult to access. The possibility to blast any place of the cleaned object makes the pneumatic machines be frequently applied in piece production or small lot production of elements of varying overall dimensions and complex shapes.
