Application:
The KRO – 12.1. The crusher is designed to break gating and pop-off systems of castings and other objects. The crusher breaks the aforementioned elements into small and uniform pieces suitable for further recycling or for melting.
It can be used to break elements of the following materials:
- grey iron,
- ductile iron.
Application of the KRO-12.1. crusher in a melting plant ensures considerable economic results. It reduces the initial volume of gating and pop-off systems up to 65%. By breaking these elements before they are melted in a melting furnace the following benefits are obtained:
a) Increase of a melting furnace performance by over 50%:
- increase of charge density,
- considerable reduction of melting time,
- a crane with with solenoid grips can grasp 3-4 times more charge. material,
- it takes less time to fill a crucible,
- opening time of furnace lid is shortened thus saving electric energy.
