Application:
The FI-65A impulse type moulding machines are used in non-mechanised moulding stands and in moulding stations of varying degrees of mechanisation. The FI-65A impulse moulding machine has been designed to make lower and upper mould halves in boxes of dimensions 600 x 500 x 150 - 250 mm. Compaction of moulds in the FI-65A moulding machine is based on a low-pressure impulse moulding method using compressed air of pressure not exceeding 0.6 MPa as the source of energy.
Advantages:
- low noise emission due to elimination of the jolt-squeeze unit,
- short time of moulding operation,
- simplicity of design and easy operation of the machine,
- possibility to make mould halves according to negative pattern (below 100 mm) at a constant distance between the table and impulse head,
- low degree of wear of moulding boxes and pattern equipment,
- design of the moulding machine is very stable and thus durability of its mechanisms is very long,
- small number of friction elements,
- rapid pressure increase in the course of an impulse,
- uniform distribution of pressure over entire mould surface,
- very short interaction of compressed air impulse and moulding sand which can be measured within the range of several milliseconds,
- high intensity of densification process resulting from a sufficient capacity of the impulse unit pressure vessel in relation to the mould surface,
- big passage area of the impulse valve in relation to the mould surface.
