Application:
The centrifugal muller has been designed to make moulding sand of fresh and old, natural and synthetic ingredients. The machine is destined to operate in foundries, in mechanised and automatic sand processing plants in plus temperatures.
Operation principle:
When sand is ready it is discharged through the discharging flap in side wall of the muller. The muller has been designed to operate at automatic and manual control. The machine needs to be connected to dust extraction system Ingredients of moulding sand measured by feeders and charged into the machine are mixed by means of a mixing unit consisting of blades and rollers and rotating inside the mixer. Air blown by fan into the mixer at adequate time cools down and fluffs the processed sand.
The mixer includes the following equipment:
- sand feeder,
- two screw feeders of loose additives,
- water feeder,
- electro-pneumatic control valves block,
- compressed air system,
- electrical outfit.

- without equipment.

We offer dust extraction equipment with our mixers:
- the stated mixer’s capacity applies to moulding sand made of used sand and refreshed with silica sand, bentonite, coal dust and water,
- 1-minute mixing cycle is recommended for sands of strength below 0,9kg/cm2, whereas 1,5-minute cycle for sands of strength 0,9 ÷ 1,5 kg/cm2,
- to achieve the cooling effect the mixing cycle shall be 90 ÷ 120s long, then the temperature of sand discharged from the mixer shall be about 150C° above the ambient temperature.
